Two hospitalized after shooting incident leads to car accident

A 24-year-old man was listed in critical condition at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after he was shot in the back around 12:30 a.m. Monday, on South Catherine Street, between South Ithan and South 56th Streets in West Philadelphia.

Police recovered 11 shell casings at the scene, according to 6ABC.

A friend of the victim tried to drive him to the hospital, but they were then involved in an accident, according to CBS3. NBC10 reported that medics then rushed the driver of the other car to to HUP, where she was listed in stable condition with head injuries.
