Shooter kills pregnant woman; baby delivered but does not survive

A pregnant woman was pronounced dead at Temple University after she was shot in the face late Sunday morning on Adams Avenue near Griscom Street in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Her baby was delivered but listed in critical condition Sunday night.

Police said a the gunman was hundreds of yards away and fired about a dozen shots at an unknown target, according to CBS3. 6ABC reported that a $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the killer.

Loved ones said Doto had two additional children and was planning on naming her new baby Carmine, according to NBC10. Police told Fox29 that the suspect fled in older model White Impala.

Investigators found about a dozen spent shell casings on Griscom Street near Womrath, about a block from where the victim was sitting when she was hit, according to a report from the Philadelphia Daily News.
