One dead, one wounded in shooting Wednesday afternoon

A 30-year-old man was killed and a 22-year-old was wounded in a shooting reported just after 1 p.m. Wednesday in the area of West Cambria and North American Streets in the Fairhill section of Philadelphia.

Police rushed the older victim Temple University Hospital but he was pronounced dead a short time later. Medics rushed the second victim to Temple, where he was listed in stable condition.

The incident took place in front of the Pan American Charter School, according to a report from 6ABC. A pedestrian was also struck by a vehicle during the incident.
