Updated: Teenage girl shot in Wissinoming

A 17-year-old girl was listed in stable condition after she was shot in the arm around 11 p.m. Wednesday on Cottage Street near Harbison Avenue in the Wissinoming section of Philadelphia.

According to police, officers responded to several 911 calls and rushed the wounded teen to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Police said she had been sitting with a friend before the gunman approached and fired at least five times.

Police had a man in custody shortly after the incident, according to reports from 6ABC and NBC10.

UPDATE: Police said the suspect was high on PCP, according to 6ABC.
