Overnight shootings leave one man dead, another critically wounded

Two men were shot in separate incidents reported overnight in North Philadelphia and West Philadelphia.

Police rushed a 35-year-old shooting victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania following an incident reported late Sunday night in the Haddington section of West Philadelphia, but he did not survive.

The man had been shot in the chest shortly before midnight in the area of North 60th Street and West Girard Avenue. CBS3, 6ABC and NBC10 had reports.

Temple University Police rushed a shooting victim to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds following an incident which took place around 1:30 a.m. Monday on West Somerset Street, between 24th and Judson Streets in the Swampoodle section of North Philadelphia. 6ABC and NBC10 had reports.

As we reported earlier, ten more people were shot during the weekend in Philadelphia.
