Medics rushed a 33-year-old man to the Aria Health Torresdale Campus, where he was listed in critical condition after he was shot four times, shortly before 9 p.m. Monday inside a barbershop on Castor Avenue near Friendship Street in the Castor section of Northeast Philadelphia.

Police said the victim had been struck in the arm, leg and chest, and had suffered a grazing head wound, according to 6ABC. The Philadelphia Daily News reported that he was expected to survive.

The victim had recently purchased Castor’s Finest Barbershop, according to a Philadelphia Inquirer report. Investigators told NBC10 that the barbershop was closed at the time of the shooting. No arrests had been made Monday night, according to CBS3.

Shooting victims were reported earlier Monday in Fairhill and North Philadlephia.
