Critically wounded shooting victim drives himself to hospital

A 34-year-old man was shot in the face around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday on North 5th Street, north of Hunting Park Avenue, on the border of Philadelphia’s Feltonville and Hunting Park neighborhoods.

The wounded man drove himself to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

According to a report from NBC10, the victim was struck as he chased two men who had just robbed a barber shop.

The Philadelphia Daily News reported that he was expected to survive.
