Man killed, another wounded in Tuesday morning shootings

Medics pronounced a 47-year-old man dead at the scene after he was shot in the head around 8 a.m. Tuesday in a driveway on South 59th Street near Greenway Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia.

As we previously reported, two men were wounded — one crticially — in separate shooting incidents reported Monday in the Eastwick section of Southwest Philadelphia.

In the latest incident, a 26-year-old man was shot in the leg shortly before 9 a.m. Monday on Mutter Street, near West Berks and North Hancock Streets in North Philadelphia.

The latest victim is the fourth man wounded since weekend shootings left two men dead and 10 more wounded in Philadelphia.
