Four men shot within 24 hours in Kensington

Philadelphia’s four latest shooting victims were all reported in the Kensington section of the city.

Responding Philadelphia Police officers rushed a 24-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after he was shot in the stomach around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on East Indiana Avenue near B Street in Kensington.

As we previously reported, a 29-year-old man was critically wounded in a Kensington shooting Monday night and two men were wounded — one fatally — in separate shooting incidents reported in Kensington early Monday morning.

The latest data from the Philadelphia Police Department reports 201 homicides in the city so far during 2014, representing an increase of more than five percent from the 199 victims reported by the same date last year.
