Medics pronounced two men dead at the scene after they were found inside a home on Allengrove Street, near East Godfrey Avenue and Bingham Street in the Crescentville section of Philadelphia around 10 a.m. Thursday. One had been shot to death and the other had been killed with a hammer.
Five separate shooting incident have left seven people wounded since Friday afternoon in Cedarbrook, Frankford, Logan, North Philadelphia and South Philadelphia
Police collected evidence the scene after finding two gunshot victims Thursday evening in the Crescentville section of Philadelphia. According to officials, police were called to the area Newtown Avenue between Adams Avenue and Godfrey Avenue at about 5:45 p.m.
Medics pronounced one man dead at the scene. A police source identified that victim as Carl Johnson, 29, accordion to the Philadelphia Daily News.
Police said both men were duct-taped, according to CBS3, the Associated Press reported that both were shot multiple times, and The Philadelphia Inquirer added that at least six shell casings were found at the location. Police are looking for a van, although they haven’t released a description, according to NBC10.
Shooting victims in Kingsessing:
Two men were shot in separate incidents reported Thursday afternoon and evening in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia. Police rushed a 20-year-old man the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was listed in stable condition after he was shot in the leg at about 4:30 p.m. on South 56th Street near Thomas Avenue. Shortly before 10 p.m., police rushed a 46-year-old man to HUP, where he was also reported stable with a leg wound.
As we previoulsy reported, two men were shot in even closer proximity in separate incidents which took place Wednesday evening and Thursday morning in the Kensington section of the city.
Temple University alerted their community to a gunpoint robbery close to the edge of the main campus in North Philadelphia late Thursday night, urging anyone with information to call police and for students in the area to be cautious. Last week, a mother and son were visiting the university when a stray bullet shattered their car window, as we previously reported.

Philadelphia police responded to Weymouth Street near East Sanger Street in Crescentville for reports of a shooting incident at about 6:15 p.m. and found a 30-year-old man inside a parked white Cadillac with several gunshot wounds to the head.
A mother and son were found shot to death Sunday in the Crescentville section of Philadelphia. According to police, the victims were found just after 3 p.m. inside their home on the 300 block of Stevens Street. Each had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and both were pronounced dead by medics at the scene.
