Two men are dead and a woman was critically wounded; among the victims of seven separate shooting incidents beginning Wednesday evening in Philadelphia. A dozen people were shot in nine incidents Tuesday.
Police gathered at Good Good, a Chinese food takeout restaurant after a 50-year-old man was critically wounded in a shooting during an attempted robbery inside, shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday, at the corner of East Cambria Street and Rosehill Streets in the Kensington section of Philadelphia
According to police, responding patrol officers found the victim suffering from two gunshot wounds to the abdomen, and medics rushed him to Temple University Hospital. Police said other customers in the store helped the victim and took the handgun from the shooter, who fled north on Rosehill Street.
Investigators said one fired shell casing and one live round — pictured above — were found inside the store, which also had a security camera that recorded the incident as well as the fleeing suspect. 6ABC, NBC10 and Fox29 also have reports.

At the Gun Crisis Reporting Project, we tracked 76 shooting victims in Philadelphia during January. At least 22 people died on the same day they were wounded and 16 more were initially reported in critical condition. We counted 95 victims in December, but only 16 deaths; so, fatal shootings increased last month while the total number of shooting victims went down.
A Philadelphia memorial service will be held in the coming weeks, according to amberjeanettelong.com, a memorial site set up “In loving memory of Amber Jeanette Long,” who was shot to death during a robbery Sunday night in the Northern Liberties section of the city.
