One man killed, another wounded in separate shootings late Tuesday afternoon

Two men were shot — one fatally — in separate incidents reported late Tuesday afternoon in the Kensington and Nicetown sections of Philadelphia.

A 42-year-old man died at Temple University Hospital after he was shot, just after 4 p.m. in the area of North Broad Street and West Hunting Park Avenue in Nicetown.

The incident took place in a strip mall parking lot, according to The Philadlepjhia Inquirer. 6ABC reported that the victim was shot in the chest. NBC10 pointed out that the shooting happened less than a mile away from the location where a teenage girl was shot and killed Monday afternoon.

In the latest incident, police rushed a 52-year-old man to Temple, where he was listed in stable condition after he was shot in the face just after 5 p.m. on Frankord Avenue near East York Street in Kensington.

Between Friday afternoon and Sunday night, 14 shooting victims were reported in Philadelphia, including one teen and two women. One man was killed and five more victims were initially reported in critical condition.
