Shooting victim reported in Frankford; gunpoint home invasion robbery in Kensington

Medics rushed a 33-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after he was shot in both legs shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday on Leiper Street near Arrott Street in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Six more shooting incidents have been reported in Philadelphia since Friday, as we  reported earlier.

No injuries were reported after a gunpoint home invasion later Saturday night in Kensington. A masked gunman made off with cash taken from three people inside.

Four men shot within 24 hours in Kensington

Philadelphia’s four latest shooting victims were all reported in the Kensington section of the city.

Responding Philadelphia Police officers rushed a 24-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after he was shot in the stomach around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on East Indiana Avenue near B Street in Kensington.

As we previously reported, a 29-year-old man was critically wounded in a Kensington shooting Monday night and two men were wounded — one fatally — in separate shooting incidents reported in Kensington early Monday morning.

The latest data from the Philadelphia Police Department reports 201 homicides in the city so far during 2014, representing an increase of more than five percent from the 199 victims reported by the same date last year.

Man shot during robbery; boards SEPTA bus

Medics rushed a 32-year-old man to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition after he was shot in the foot during a robbery, reported shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday in the area of B Street and East Indiana Avenue in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The victim boarded a SEPTA bus, according to a 6ABC report, but the driver pulled over after other passengers began to complain that the wounded man was bleeding.

Nearly 24 hours had passed since the last report of a shooting victim in Philadelphia. A 27-year-old woman was shot in the face Tuesday night, as we previously reported.

Three wounded in Kensington shooting Thursday night

Two men and a woman were listed in stable condition at Temple University Hospital after they were wounded in a shooting incident reported around 10:15 p.m. Thursday in the area of Lee and Clearfield Streets, near Front Street in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

A 31-year-old woman was shot in the arm leg, a 41-year-old man was shot in the knee and a 28-year-old man was shot in the back.

Shooting victims were reported earlier Thursday in Kensington, North Philadelphia and Olney.
