Three men wounded, one critically, as new month begins

A 28-year-old man was listed in stable condition at Temple University Hospital after he was shot in the thigh around 8:15 p.m. Friday on North 21st Street near West Venango Street in the Tioga section of Philadelphia.

October’s final shooting victim was a 22-year-old man who was in critical condition at Einstein Medical Center with an abdominal wound after he was shot around 11 p.m. Friday on Mohican Street near Lowber Avenue in West Oak Lane.

Medics rush a 23-year-old man to Einstein, where he was reported stable after he was shot in the chest around 1:15 a.m. Saturday on Wakening Street near Penn Street in Frankford. We haven’t found any other news reports addressing the latest three incidents.

Two men were wounded, one critically, in shootings reported one night earlier in Philadelphia, as we previously reported. Another man was killed late Thursday afternoon in North Philadelphia.

A preliminary review of our October reporting indicates that at least 95 people were shot in Philadelphia during the month, down from 115 in September.

Four men shot in separate incidents Monday morning in Philadelphia

A 30-year-old man was listed in stable condition at Einstein Medical Center after he was shot in the shoulder around 11:30 a.m. Monday on West 65th Avenue near Wister Street in West Oak Lane.

Shooting victims were reported earlier Monday in Juniata Park, Oak Lane and Ogontz.

Three people were killed and 10 more were wounded — three critically — in shooting incidents reported during the weekend in Philadelphia.

Between Friday afternoon and Sunday night, 14 shooting victims were reported in Philadelphia, including one teen and two women. One man was killed and five more victims were initially reported in critical condition.

Two young men were wounded in a shooting incident reported late Wednesday afternoon at the Simons Community Recreation Center, on East Walnut Lane near Woolston Street in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.
